A heart attack varies from person to person. This is what Women’s Health Today published in one of their topics regarding women’s health in 1999. Women’s symptoms for heart attack are different, but just as deadly. Heart disease is one of the top killers among women, yet it’s often misdiagnosed with frightening regularity. For men, it includes the classic chest-clutching pain, tightness, or heaviness in the chest, and usually accompanied by shortness of breath or sweating.

But this can be completely different in women. Women may experience little or no chest pain according to Dr. Roy Ziegelstein, a cardiologist and former deputy chairman (Executive Vice-Chairman at present) of medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. The symptoms may be so unlike a normal male heart attack, thus female symptoms can be described as atypical.

Women would often experience shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, and may even have pain or weakness in their shoulders, arms, or all over their bodies. They also are more likely to experience nausea, which cannot be relieved by antacids or burping. There can also be vomiting and frequently associated with fatigue. The feeling of completely wiped out or a general sense of being unwell like there’s something really wrong going on describes this state of fatigue. During mental stress, physical exercise, and even at rest are also the time when these symptoms usually occur.

These atypical symptoms of women may be erratic, indicating angina, which means temporary lack of oxygen to the heart and the most important warning sign of a future heart attack. When these symptoms occur at the onset of a heart attack, they don’t go away generally; they become worse as time passes.

————————–

This article hopes to give you a clear thought about heart disease among women. And for that, we’re hoping everyone is encouraged to keep going healthy by eating right, exercising regularly, and living at best. One of the simplest ways to achieve this is by trying out goji berry products that aim to give healthy and nutritious diet while boosting stamina for a good exercise and maintaining satisfactory weight.
